Growing up on a farm in Poland I had the opportunity to appreciate nature and the teachings of my father on how to make practical things made out of wood to sustain the farm.

Working with wood became my passion and trade for the past 30 years.
Since that time I have seen so many changes in the craft of woodworking and wood appreciation.

Seeing small leftover piece destined for the scrap yard has re-sparked my passion for wood working the way I remembered it in my younger years in Poland.

This spark has created the idea for CATBOX BY ZIGGY.

Each box is made with love of the craft, the use of raw and salvaged materials from renovations with no hardware making each box unique never to be replicated.

Each box is made to show appreciation of the craft of woodworking, beauty of the wood and most importantly our love for our fur babies.
